Fifth: the production of aromatic compounds. Japan is developing a new technology of making chemical raw materials from waste plastics. Its award is to heat waste plastics such as PE and PP to 300 ℃, decompose them into carbohydrates, and then add catalysts to synthesize aromatic compounds such as benzene, toluene and xylene. When reacting at 525 ℃, 70% of waste plastics can be converted into useful aromatic substances, which can be used as raw materials for chemicals and pharmaceuticals, fuel improvers for gasoline, etc., and are widely used. The rest can be converted to hydrogen and propane.
